… yeah, it can really happen this time of year, Lord —
the world can keep looking for beauty in appearances
rather than in Your appearing.

And Advent is this baptism of eyes — like a clear washing of eyes, so that we can get to see the wonder & joy & hope again.

Yeah, make it so we know it again:

Looking comes first if we’re ever to find the life we want….
if we are ever to see the miracle of hope & love & joy & Jesus this Christmas.

Always, always, first a change of perspective — so our life can then change into something beautiful.

Joy is a function of gratitude,
and gratitude is a function of perspective.

Let’s walk with Jesus and pray for our eyes
to do the most miraculous things:
to turn everything inside out.

People care about the wrapping paper on the outside –
but God cares about the inside gifts – the heart.

You only begin to change your life —
when you begin to change the way you see.

And all the people opened their eyes to the countless gifts & whispered their brave thanks & opened Joy… and shared a wide-eyed Amen.
